Dontnod Entertainment launches a new development diary explaining how they have combined history and playability.
Focus Home Interactive and Dontnod Entertainment have officially launched the launch of Vampyr for next June 5. The information comes through the fourth installment of their development journals, where on this occasion they have wanted to delve into how they have combined the powerful plot load of the title with the game mechanics.
In this sense, Stéphane Beauverger, narrative director of the production, has explained how exploration, investigations, encounters with citizens, combat and compelling options are fundamentally intertwined with the narrative of the game. For its part, in this video with the unpublished in-game material, it has also been emphasized how important it is to achieve a degree of total immersion, using motion capture to make the cast of characters something much more human. The story is about a a vampire in a London, at the end of the First World War, devastated by the Spanish flu.
Vampyr is announced for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
