Guerrilla Games‘ Horizon: Zero Dawn is celebrating – a few freebies are available on the PlayStation Store!
The game launched a year ago, and, according to Sony’s statement, it sold 7.6 million copies since its launch, and with this result, Aloy’s adventures have become the best-selling first-party franchise on the PlayStation 4!
To celebrate the decent sales, on the PlayStation Store, you can find an avatar pack with a few Horizon characters, as well as a new PlayStation 4 theme, featuring fan-made Photo Mode backgrounds, all for free by the time you read this article.
The PlayStation 4 also performs well – Japanese Media Create’s latest charts reveal that since its launch in Japan (February 22, 2014), the PS4 sold 6,485,416. Reaching almost six and a half million in four years is excellent, especially how in the fourth year, the console sold 2,083,974, continuing the growing tendency over the years. (And despite the Nintendo Switch being successful, this information confirms that the N hardware does not influence Sony’s sales negatively!)
Congratulations to both Sony and Guerrilla – we wouldn’t be surprised if they announced Horizon 2 at E3 this year…
