Fortnite: There's Interest For Cross-play, But Not Everybody Wants It!

Two out of three parties are interested. The third one refuses to join.

Regarding Fortnite, last weekend, it was announced for mobiles. It was also confirmed to have cross-play with the Xbox One version, while PlayStation 4 players received confirmation to play together with the PC users. Wha about the cross-play between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, then?

On Twitter, Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, responded with a simple „me too” to a fan comment, saying that they’d like cross-play between the two consoles. The notion is supported by Epic, the developers of Fortnite (and the Unreal Engine which the game uses), as they also replied positively to the comment!

As Fortnite is not a game destined to fail shortly, if Sony keeps avoiding teaming up with Microsoft, they might be putting themselves at a disadvantage in the short term…
