Neocore cannot keep the originally targeted May release date.
On Steam, the team said that Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr won’t launch on May 11 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (where it’s already available in Early Access).
The post says that there were technical issues on „one of the console platforms,” and the problems were fixed too late, which means they wouldn’t be able to manufacture the game in time. They added that the PC version will now get „three extra weeks of polishing,” and they will also release a big beta update two weeks before the game launches, on May 21, on Steam.
In the original post, the team wrote that they work ninety (yes, 90 – roughly 13 per day if there are no days off during the week) hours a week to get the game complete in time, which got a few angry reactions on Twitter. PCGamer received a statement by Neocore, and they say that it was a joke, and that „it sounded ironic in Hungarian.” They don’t force anyone to work that much on Inquisitor.
It wasn’t a good joke. However, we now know that the new release date for Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr will be June 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
