The unstoppable genre might likely not skip the Nintendo Switch either.
GamingIntel reports based on anonymous sources that „the Battle Royale version of Call of Duty” is heading towards the Nintendo Switch. Let’s clarify this: this does not mean that Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII, developed by Treyarch, would show up on Nintendo‘s portable platform!
Previously, we wrote that Raven Software, responsible for Modern Warfare Remastered, would develop a Battle Royale mode for Black Ops IIII, which would not have a traditional campaign, as Treyarch ran out of time to properly develop it. This game mode would be part of the bundle on PlayStation 4/Xbox One/PC, but the Switch would only get the Battle Royale, which, is apparently developed by Beenox, too. (They helped to port Black Ops III to PS3/X360, and they also made several Spider-Man games.)
The Battle Royale game mode would launch simultaneously with Black Ops IIII (on October 12) on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but the Nintendo Switch would receive it separately at a later date. We already got used to the Switch ports getting delayed, but here, it’s a different scenario, as it’s about the franchise’s debut on the platform…
