China is, by far, the most lucrative market for the video game industry today.
Moreover, this position, far from being in doubt, will increase in the coming years with a figure of players expected for 2022 of 768 million players and 17,440 million dollars generated by online PC games.
The data supposes an estimation of the consultation Niko Partners, that in two of his last reports agrees in how the Asian giant will carry out five of years of growth to a higher rate of the predicted one. To put it in context, in 2017 there were 604 million players and 15,530 million dollars of revenue.
The vast increase in profits of the industry in China is more exemplified if we look at the data of the mobile sector. Thus, in 2017, 12,130 million dollars were generated compared to the 24,670 expected for 2022.
China is the worlds largest games market.
