An essential FPS game became free – if you are a fan of the genre, don’t miss the offer.
We can’t deny that Unreal has had a significant role in the second half of the 90s. Epic‘s FPS‘ Gold edition is now available for free on both GOG and Steam. As it’s a twenty-year-old game, everyone who reads this site on a PC should be able to run this game without any trouble. (Yes, the franchise is celebrating its 20th birthday, which is why this offer is happening at the moment.)
All you need is just an account on either site – with Steam, click on the Install Game button, and it will be added permanently to your library, and on GOG, click the banner on the top of the page. (It also reveals that the offer is still active for 45 hours or so, so get it done as soon as possible or you might forget about the offer.)
Unreal has become one of the pillars of the FPS genre (and in arena shooters, Unreal Tournament fills in a similar role), so we can end it with this term: glhf… oh, and the entire franchise is having a sale right now. (We have all of them, though – some of them are also on our shelves, not just on Steam.)
