The father of Drakengard and NieR wins the Internet with a simple tweet…
Battlefield V will have female characters, which is why critics of the game claim that it will be an ahistorical game. However, DICE‘s general manager, Oskar Gabrielson confirmed on Twitter that no matter what the people think, DICE‘s FPS will include the playable female characters.
Yoko Taro, whose most recent game would be NieR: AutomatA, also responded to the situation on Twitter in his quirky style: „Meanwhile, in Japan battleships are made into beautiful girls, warlords are made into pretty boys loving boys, schoolgirls ride tanks, and anything you want…” Moreover, that’s it – that’s enough Internet for today. He’s right: the Asian country does have such things, which might be unusual for us (but that doesn’t mean that they are bad).
Battlefield V will launch on October 19 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. (Or 16, if you get the Deluxe Edition…)

First, let me be clear about one thing. Player choice and female playable characters are here to stay. pic.twitter.com/fvi9riUZDM
