Finally we learned what exactly Shadows Die Twice is and it won’t be a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
We’ve already seen the teaser for From Software‘s new game (developers of such hits as the Souls games and Bloodborne) at The Game Awards half a year ago. However back then we knew very little about it. There were talks that it is possibly a Bloodborne sequel, but people who thought this were wrong.
The game’s full name is Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and it’s a brand new IP set in the 1500’s Japan. In terms of setting and atmosphere, it feels very similar to the old Onimusha games or to Nioh that was released not too long ago. Judging by the trailer the whole combat system will be more dynamic and crazy than ever. It will be very different than the other games made by the studio. Basically it will be Nioh, just on steroids, if you ask me.
There isn’t an exact release date for the game, only a vague one (early 2019), but we already know that the game will release on multiple platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will be published by Activision.
