The Just Cause series that is well known for it’s chaos and destruction just got a new graphics engine with it’s fourth game and it will have an effect on a lot of things.
Square Enix yesterday held a short E3 conference and they officially revealed Just Cause 4 there. Thanks to the trailers shown at the event, we learned some new and interesting things about Avalanche Studios’ next game. The changes and improvements that the new game will introduce seem to be significant compared to what we’ve seen in Just Cause 3 (a game that is known for it’s very poor optimization).
With the new graphics engine we’ll get a fully revamped AI that will help our enemies to behave more naturally and prevent a bigger threat to the player. The weather effects were also improved and there are multiple different and dangerous weather conditions in the game now. But most importantly, the game physics has also seen a huge improvement as well, so the animations and interaction will probably be smoother, while the environment will be much more destructible than ever before. Aside from these, the now iconic grapple hook will see some improvements as well.
Just Cause 4 also got a release date. It will release on December 4th this year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
