A new trailer and gameplay video just dropped along with quite a lot of information.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey picks up the story (and the gameplay) where Origins left off. Not just the main character returns (Layla Hassan), but the previously introduced RPG mechanics get deeper as well. In Odyssey there will be roughly 30 hours of dialogue and the players will have the choice to make decisions through the story and alter the events around them – including the ending.
What’s quite interesting as well is that the well-loved naval combat system returns from Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. Players will have the choice once again to customize and upgrade their own ship and take part in different sea battles. Aside from these, players will be able to recruit crewman who will all have different perks.
Ubisoft plans four editions for the game, namely: Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, Gold Edition, Ultimate Edition. The game will release this year at October 5th, on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
