[E3 2018] This Year’s E3 Reaches High Points!

After 2005, E3 managed to reach higher than before.

2005 was an interesting time: we were waiting for the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii, which was called Nintendo Revolution at that time. Back then, jumping from SD to high definition felt like a massive leap with Sony’s and Microsoft’s consoles.

Something similar didn’t happen this year (maybe in 2019?), but still, E3 was successful with its 69200 attendees (just 800 shy of the lifetime peak). 15000 consumer tickets were sold, 200+ exhibitors were present (85 of which were debutants) with 3250 products. Entertainment Software Association, the organiser of the event, dubbed E3 2018 „an enormous success.”

ESA already dated when the 2019 E3 event will be held – E3 2019 will start on June 11 and it will end on June 13. The gaming industry’s potentially most important event next year might either see an announcement or even a reveal of the next PlayStation and Xbox platforms.

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
