Ubisoft Massive’s game, which is getting a sequel shortly, is getting a major update.
The French publisher already announced The Division 2 before E3, which meant its segment wasn’t surprising to us, maybe except the game’s location (Washington DC). The first game is getting an update, where Shields is the most important thing to bring up.
The Shields contain twelve collectable items – each Shield Cache is awarded upon completing challenges, and if you collect more, you’re going to unlock rewards in The Division 2. Currently, only four are available (Shepherd: Unlock the Base of Operations; Hazard: Clear 25 landmarks in the Dark Zone; Deadeye: Complete all weekly HVT’s within a week; Avenger: Take out 10 named bosses in Manhattan, 10 in the Dark Zone and 10 in the West Side Piers area), the rest will arrive later.
The 1.8.2 update brought in two legendary difficulty missions (General Assembly, Madison Field Hospital), four gear pieces got changed (Predator’s Mask, Path of the Nomad, Tactician’s Authority, Reclaimer), and you can read further details on this page to see what else Ubisoft modified.
The Division 2 is going to launch on March 15 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
