At E3 2018 CD Projekt RED shown a nearly one-hour long gameplay demo from their upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077 behind closed doors to the press. The audio of the mentioned demo got leaked and we also learned some new things about the game.
DSOGaming just published the audio of the demo in two parts, which you can find here and here. From the audio recording(s) we don’t learn too much – aside from the fact that we hear the voice of the main character, V, while we can also hear some audio effects and music from the game. It’s because people from the press already talked about what they saw in the demo.
However we learned that Cyberpunk 2077 will have no loading screens at all, so walking through the city and entering/exiting buildings will be seamless and uninterrupted. The only exception, of course, is the fast travel system, but CD Projekt RED is still experimenting with that.
As for the flying cars: Metro GamesCentral did an interview with the studio’s level designer, Max Pears, in which he said that players – unfortunately – won’t be able to drive flying cars. However, in certain missions, the player will be able to jump into them. But the main way to get through the city will be on foot, cars, and bikes.
Cyberpunk 2077 still doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s expected to be released on the next generation consoles as well. Therefore the possible platforms are the following: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox (Next).
