Although EA Play was a weak presentation, Anthem, BioWare‘s next game, still made us watch through the whole thing…
Electronic Arts and BioWare waited until July to have the Independence Day partying calm down in the United States to drop the full gameplay walkthrough of the E3 build on us. It’s an almost twenty-minute video with Ben Irving, the game’s lead producer, commentating the events. We see some jetpack traversing, combat, as well as the Scars & Villainy mission, which seems to be a four-player, cooperative task to do going by the EA/BioWare video.
We’re still not impressed, though. Anthem still feels like Electronic Arts‘ Destiny clone with a bit of BioWare style added to it, and this game might decide the studio’s future – if it sells below expectations, BioWare might be closed…
Anthem will launch on February 22 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will get a beta before the release date at a currently unknown time.
