That title is intentional – even the confirmed release date (as well as its press release) hints at it.
So far, we knew that Cyanide Studios‘ Call of Cthulhu is going to launch towards the end of the year, but now, Focus Home Interactive, the publisher, finally revealed when the game would exactly become available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. That day is going to be October 30, just one day before Halloween. However, this date is way too close to a game called Red Dead Redemption 2, which caused several games to arrive earlier (Rise of the Tomb Raider, Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII, Battlefield V), and a few more to move over to 2019.
Four new screenshots also arrived, and they seem to recreate Chaosium’s pen-and-paper RPG down to a tee, which is always welcome. We hope Cyanide‘s game (where, according to the press release, we should trust no one) is going to be frightening…
