Lara Croft will sometimes have just a dime to turn around.
In the Tomb Raider games, we got used to Miss Croft have just a small patch of ground to traverse around to safety, mixed with some wall climbing or almost hairraising jumps for good measure. This ambience was picked up by Eidos Montreal in the latest trailer called Treacherous Traversal. It may be a short video, but if you end up experiencing the scenes shown during the game, it will feel longer than just watching it.
Indeed, it looks almost insane how Lara’s movements are limited, but we can understand Eidos Montreal‘s thought – they previously said that they would punish mistakes. That means we might see Lara fall into the abyss a few (?) times…
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will launch on September 14 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC… unless you acquire the Deluxe version, which will grant you forty-eight hours of early access.
