Previously, Valve openly admitted that they want to work on more games. They acquired a pivotal person to prove their statement.
In fact, this newcomer is a returning person, as Jay Pinkerton previously worked for Valve already. He isn’t a no-name guy either as he was the co-writer of Portal 2, and he also lent a helping hand to write for both Left 4 Dead games.
This move is unusual – in 2017, several people have left Valve. Erik Wolpaw and Chet Faliszek were both writers in Gabe Newell‘s company, and Pinkerton also followed suit in June 2017 when he went. Well, he is now back with the team.
This information first surfaced on Reddit that Pinkerton‘s name is listed on Valve‘s site again, and since then, a spokesperson has confirmed to PCGamer their old-new workforce acquisition.
So, Valve is up to something. Are they going to break the „three curse” with Portal?
