Spider-Man: A Gameplay Launch Trailer [VIDEO]

Insomniac Games intentionally used the word gameplay in the video’s title – does this mean that we’re also going to get a cinematic launch trailer for Spider-Man as well…?

Don’t take us offensively, but if the contents of the video are described in the title as such, we think that Spider-Man might receive two launch trailers, and frankly, we don’t remember any other game pulling a similar approach off in the past few years. Oh, and let us not forget that the game’s launch is still almost a month away!

The beginning of the video is essential: Miles Morales meets Spider-Man. We already knew that Miles (as well as Mary-Jane) would be in the game as playable characters, but with this scene, Insomniac Games pretty much confirms that Miles will be present in the plot as Ultimate Spider-Man. Having some variety never hurts.

Spider-Man is going to launch on September 7 as a PlayStation 4-exclusive.
