Metro Exodus won’t leave the usual trends of pre-order bonuses and a limited edition behind either.
As the pre-order extras are different per platform, let’s see the differences between them, regardless of which version you pre-order (the Gold edition contains the base game and the Expansion Pass, while the Standard Edition needs no explanation):
„
- All Xbox One pre-orders, physical or digital include a copy of Metro 2033 Redux – the first game in the Metro saga, remastered for the Xbox One
- All PlayStation 4 pre-orders, physical or digital, include a stunning Dynamic Theme based on the Metro Exodus ‘Winter’ artwork
- All physical PC pre-orders and Steam pre-orders include a digital art book and the Metro Exodus OST
”
It seems that the PlayStation 4 is getting the short end of the stick here. However, let’s take a look at the game’s Aurora Limited Edition. It will contain the game, the Expansion Pass (aka the season pass, although, according to the press release, 4A Games, the developers, haven’t decided yet on what it will include!), a thirty-two page art book, a steelbook, and all of it will be in a steel case inspired by the Aurora. (Steelbookception – what a Russian approach. Seeing how Metro is set in that country, it makes sense, though…)
Metro Exodus will launch on February 22 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The devs plan to support the game post-launch with free DLC and extra single-player content. Perhaps the latter is what the Expansion Pass will have.
