Arkane About Dishonored's Future

Dishonored has been put into a „rest,” which never sounds good. Is that the situation, though?

DualShockers had the chance to talk to Ricardo Bare, the lead designer, at a Bethesda event. He confirmed his previous comments (because he spoke of Dishonored taking a rest in the summer): „I didn’t say nothing Dishonored related would ever come out again. I just meant nothing is coming out in the immediate future related to Dishonored.”

Although this comment still sounds disappointing (the first game was a surprise hit in the autumn of 2012!), Arkane didn’t give up on making a return to this IP. However, it will not happen in the next few years, as Bethesda, the publisher, is following the trends.

If we think about Dishonored, the story is over at the moment. Arkane would have to rethink the characters as well in a possible sequel – the same had to be done by Dontnod at Square Enix with Life is Strange 2…
