A Spyro Fan Game Development Gets Stopped [VIDEO]

Activision has pulled out the usual cease & desist development card – either the development gets stopped, or there will be a lawsuit.

Spyro: Myths Awaken, the fan game, was inspired by the original PlayStation trilogy… but those titles are getting a remaster collection in November. Eurogamer reports that the promising „fourth game,” which would have Spyro stop Medusa in Mythica, had to be stopped as Activision stepped in, claiming that Myths Awaken is infringing copyright.

Cyreides, one of the developers, has announced a B plan – they will redesign the game to drop Spyro and make it something original instead to avoid infringing any copyright. That’s something: most of the time, the development stops altogether when a cease & desist order drops with no plans to continue in any way.

Let’s take a look at Myths Awaken pre-C&D then… it’s not shabby in our opinion.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
