A week earlier than we normally could experience the classic experience, no less.
World of Warcraft: Classic‘s demo will launch next week, but a YouTuber by the name of Dody Kebaab managed to enter Blizzard‘s MMORPG a week early. He told Eurogamer that the client has leaked via various Discord servers.
He used the client through a sandbox emulator, which means he could fire up World of Warcraft: Classic without connecting to Blizzard’s servers (which means he would have got caught if he did), allowing to experience the game on his PC. There are no NPCs and quests, though, but we can still see a comparison between the 2005 vanilla and the current Classic demo iteration, though. There’s a difference in the menus as well, and if we click the Classic button, we can revert the visuals into a retro look if we want that.
World of Warcraft: Classic‘s demo is only accessible if you buy a virtual ticket to BlizzCon, which starts on November 2.
