Japanese Developers Gearing Towards Next-Gen!

Although nor Sony, neither Microsoft named its next console (at least the latter has hinted at it at E3 this year, while the Japanese company didn’t), more devs seem to make the jump to the next generation.

A job listing is looking for a planner/translator in Koto, Tokyo, to work on a „new console game” for „next-generation hardware.” Another listing, from Shibuya, Tokyo, is by a „game developer with strong console game development,” and they also look for a planner for a „next-gen hardware title” – the new employee would work on boss battles, including their specifications and order, as well as the parameter settings. Let’s also not forget about Square Enix’ recently repositioned Luminous Productions, where a character modeller would work on a „new, PlayStation 5 title!”

So the Japanese devs/publishers are seemingly all into developing for the next PlayStation, which might not use Blu-ray discs. Why? We will discuss it separately later today…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
