Hideo Kojima‘s next game hasn’t been seen a lot in the past years.
Norman Reedus, who has the role of Sam, the protagonist of Death Stranding, talked in Dan Fogler‘s podcast about the game’s mechanics and themes. He says Death Stranding emphasises people, creating connections between them, as well as (probably theoretical) bridge building. It’s not beneficial to Sam, though: he has a phobia of not liking being touched by other people. It will disappear throughout the game, though.
Reedus also confirmed that we would have multiple decisions throughout Death Stranding, but we don’t know the amount of impact they will have yet. He thinks the game could launch in early 2019, with the possibility of sequels, too. However, this thought could go against another one, as he says he still has to do motion capture recording next week, which means the development isn’t done yet.
Death Stranding is coming to PlayStation 4… probably in 2019.
