The Quantic Dream that launched over half a year ago (on May 25) broke a record, too.
Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that Detroit: Become Human has sold over two million copies, including both physical and digital sales. The PlayStation 4-exclusive thus also reached the record of being the fastest selling title for the developers, but it’s not surprising, as the gaming industry keeps getting faster and faster, more consoles are available, and more games are being sold in general.
Quantic Dream celebrates this milestone hit by the conflict between humans and androids in another way, too – David Cage, the head of the studio (and the director of several games), published a link on Twitter to access the alternate covers, featuring the other main characters, to have a unique cover to print it out. It is a generous gesture from Cage and his team.
Quantic Dream is likely working on the next game by this point, and it’s unlikely to be available on the PlayStation 4.
We are thrilled to share that Detroit: Become Human has sold through more than 2 million units worldwide on PlayStation 4 since its launch on May 25, 2018. Congratulations, @Quantic_Dream! pic.twitter.com/b3xVGeerth
