Will Formula-E Cars Join Gran Turismo Sport?

Kazunori Yamauchi, the CEO of Gran Turismo-developer Polyphony Digital, as well as the producer of the franchise, thinks that they will join the roster.

GTPlanet noticed a Famitsu interview, where Yamauchi, as well as Toshiyuki Shimegi (Porsche Japan),  talked about Porsche’s Formula-E project and the fact that Porsche Japan’s 2019 eSport competition will have Gran Turismo Sport as its platform.

During the interview, Yamauchi was asked if Gran Turismo Sport‘s roster would be increased by the addition of the Formula-E cars. He responded by saying the oldest and the newest cars are all in the game, and he already talked about the subject with people tied to Formula-E (where the E means electronic!). „It is no doubt” that these cars will be added to the game, according to him.

With Gran Turismo Sport, it indeed looks like Yamauchi and Polyphony Digital planned for a long-term, and if the Formula-E cars join the list of vehicles, the currently latest GT game might get even more popular than before…
