Sony’s mini console sells so badly that it got a significant price cut!
It’s been three weeks since the launch of the PlayStation Classic. We have talked about this console a lot, but we can still not find a positive about it – now, its price is not even a hundred dollars/euros! On Amazon, after a 30% price cut, the emulation machine is just 70 bucks! It still doesn’t show how big of a flop PlayStation Classic is…
This “Only buy ONE PlayStation Classic” sign really seems like it should have said “Please buy a PlayStation Classic. No one else is and we really need to clear these shelves!!” pic.twitter.com/XuRCEgITXx

This photo shows that the shelves are almost full (we only see two PS Classics missing!), and the disclaimer above them says that only one can be bought per customer. We agree with the tweet’s comment: „It should have said „Please buy a PlayStation Classic. No one else is and we really need to clear these shelves!””
CamelCamelCamel shows us how fast the PS Classic price has dropped on Amazon, including the third-party new and used prices, too. You can compare them to the NES Classic, which Sony based the PlayStation Classic‘s hardware on. There is no data about the Amazon prices, but we can see how much time it needed to shed the price (mainly due to the „scalpers” who kept buying the stock – initially, Nintendo barely made any of the mini-NES-es…).
Sony deserves a sarcastic golf clap:
