TECH NEWS – It’s hard to believe it but it’s true: there are mobile phones that you could bend if it doesn’t fit your pocket.
It’s not the Samsung Galaxy X that we’re talking about, as another product managed to beat it to the punch. The Royole FlexPai was announced in China in November, and it launched at CES, on January 7. It has a 7.8″ AMOLED display with a 1920×1440 resolution. Its speciality is that it could be bent in half (although not entirely) to make the FlexPai look like a 4″ smartphone. The idea is unique.
The FlexPai could be bought with either 6 or 8 GB of RAM and with 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. It includes an undisclosed version of a Qualcomm SnapDragon chipset, a 3800 mAh battery, and a fingerprint reader. The price is steep, though – the 128 GB model’s developer version of the FlexPai is 1318 dollars, and the 256 GB model is 1469 bucks.
The device got a hands-on video by BBC.
