Ubisoft might not wait for the E3 to happen, and instead, they might officially announce Watch Dogs 3 (which we have discussed several times before) in just a few days…
On Reddit, there’s a post allegedly written by an ex-Ubisoft employee, who worked on Watch Dogs 3. This person has confirmed the previous leaks (which included the London setting for example), but Spieltimes, based on another one of its sources, a developer, claims that the setting is confirmed, which was also done before by Kotaku’s Jason Schreier. Let’s quickly recap what we know about the game so far.
In Watch Dogs 3, you’ll play as a half-Asian, half-English female protagonist named Sarah, but, as in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you might have the choice to pick between a male and a female protagonist. (It’s likely, but not entirely possible.) As Sarah, you will work for an anti-terrorist organisation branch that deals with cybersecurity. In the game, skateboarding and making graffitis will be possible. (They have to keep the tone of Watch Dogs 2 after all.) Also, lethal weapons might not appear in the game. However, Spieltmes’ source wasn’t entirely sure about it.
Ubisoft plans to launch Watch Dogs 3 in November on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but it might be delayed. (It could be one of the three unannounced AAA titles, which we have discussed before.) So it’s possible that Watch Dogs 3 could be out in January 2020 to not be close to Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, which will launch in October.
Of course, all these information are just rumours, but May 24 is close, and Ubisoft might reveal the game around that time. They could be making their E3 show shorter this year, or they might give Beyond Good & Evil 2, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, and Just Dance 2020 more time. (Because we all know that game will happen.)
