Ovosonico‘s game, Last Day Of June can now be acquired for free – the Italian team’s second game might be worth a look for this weekend.
As we just said, Ovosonico has made two games so far. The first one was Murasaki Baby on the PlayStation Vita, which was one of the most surprising titles of the platform. Three years later, in 2017, they released Last Day of June (which, funnily, came out on the last day of august on PC and PlayStation 4, and not June… the Nintendo Switch port followed in March 2018), in which we can experience the story of a pair named Carl and June. We have to change the events of a tragedy via June’s paintings, and it was an enjoyable game. Sure, it wasn’t perfect, but it was worth a playthrough (we even reviewed it back in the day). Now, this game is free on the Epic Games Store, who nowadays are doubling the pace, as they are now offering a new game each week instead of every two weeks. You can either add the game to your library by clicking here or via the Epic Games Launcher.
As always, we now know what the next freebie will be after Last Day of June on the Epic Games Store. It is going to be a cooperative cooking game called Overcooked, which we recall being a PlayStation Plus free game back in May along with What Remains of Edith Finch – and since then, Sony has pulled out a WEAKER duo of free games for July, which we talked about a few days ago. This is the type of the game where friendships end as our partner either can’t do or won’t do what we want them to do.
Last Day of June is a freebie during the last days of June (until July 4). Very funny, Epic Games. At least you continue the joke from 2017.
