This time around, we can say that not one but two games are available for free on PC, both titles are developed by 11-bit Studios, as both Moonlighter and This War of Mine were made by them. These can be added to your Epic Games Store account until August 2 – Tim Sweeney’s company was not joking: they did shift into a higher gear with the freebies.
We also know what the two games after Moonlighter and This War of Mine will be as well – indeed, this double freebie thing is not just a temporary thing! The two games are none other than Alan Wake (for which Sam Lake would gladly make a sequel, and since Remedy Entertainment, the devs behind the game, already own the publishing rights, they could do it without Microsoft saying no…), and For Honor – the latter already had a freebie period in last June on Steam. Ubisoft continues to update For Honor with new characters, similarly to Ghost Recon: Wildlands, which launched also in early 2017 (although Wildlands’ sequel, Breakpoint, is going to launch shortly – Ubisoft seems to slowly get into supporting games for a longer period, as Rainbow Six: Siege, which is close to three years old, also gets a lot of care from the French company)
You can either add the freebies to your account by clicking here or via the Epic Games Store launcher. We can already say that Epic Games Store is gaining attention with such freebies, as they are getting higher and higher in terms of quality (can you say that Alan Wake is bad…?), and it might be even better around Christmas.
Have fun!
