Aladdin And The Lion King Make A Return

The announcement leaked – newer old games like Aladdin and The Lion King are getting more accessible.

This time, it’s 1993’s Aladdin and 1994’s The Lion King are those that are moving from the older platforms (SNES, SEGA Genesis, or SEGA Mega Drive in Europe) to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and most likely the PC as well, as Disney is unlikely to leave the chance to dip its customers on the most possible platforms with the re-release. This pair of games were announced to GameStop employees at the GME Conference, and it got leaked from there. According to the information, they can be pre-ordered in GameStop from August 28.

Both Aladdin (Genesis version – differs from SNES) and The Lion King (SNES) can be played in both 1080p and the original resolution with the original soundtracks. There will be new functions – possibly via emulation -, such as allowing us to fast forward and rewind, and in case you might find these two of the many platformers of the 90s hard, there will also be a function where the game shows you how to progress. Are they underestimating our skills this much? Seeing how games got easier, the answer is possibly yes.

As both IPs are owned by Disney, we are unlikely to get new games in the franchises, just these re-releases. And since the pack isn’t announced officially yet, we just have to wait for that to happen as it doesn’t look to be a hoax (unless multiple sources lie, which is highly improbable).

So Aladdin & The Lion King Collection (whatever the name will be, we nicknamed it this way) will launch this autumn (October) on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch, with a possible PC port as well.
