Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Weapons Might Be In Loot Boxes

That’s not the only issue in Infinity Ward‘s game – this year’s Call of Duty is lagging behind in another aspect, too.

After Activision Blizzard bashed its chest, touting that this was the franchise’s biggest beta (boring – as we always say: growing gaming industry…), things began picking up. Survival mode in Spec Ops will be PlayStation 4-exclusive for a year (!?), and then the developers said that it will only consist 1% of the game’s full content. Oh really? Let’s add TheGamingRevolution‘s tweets, as he is reliable in the franchise:

„Who wants 300+ emotes in supply drops? Who wants 500+ titles, who wants over 200 sprays in supply drops? YAYAYAYAYAYYA! Weapons are coming too, forget any cosmetic only malarkey. They’re literally changing so much. They had A FAIR SYSTEM WITH SALVAGE and then they just remove it. I hope something changes by release, I swear,” he wrote. So in short, the crates will have random emotes, titles (both cosmetic), sprays, and even weapons, apparently. OUCH!

„Survival makes up 50% of Spec Ops with the missions being the other 50%… there are 3 game modes at launch: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Co-Op. So 1/6th =16.6% of the game is PlayStation 4-exclusive content. Spec Ops isn’t just a measly addon. From my sources: realistically it makes up about 1/10th of the game since multiplayer has the most content, but it is nowhere near 1%. Maybe it took 1% of dev time to make since they just reused stuff & it was last second, but it’ll be by no means 1% of the full game’s content,” he added about the survival mode. OUCH!

That’s not all – there’s a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta netcode analysis here. We will only put in an image: the lower the number, the smaller the lag is. Thus, the higher the bar, the worse the lag is. And guess what? This year’s CoD is in a BAD state in all three modes (Domination, Domination with 20, and Ground War with 100 players, respectively) in all three categories!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out on October 25 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
