Golden Joystick Awards – There are a few new names that we didn’t expect to see win.
The 37th Golden Joystick Awards have been handed out yesterday in London, UK. This is the biggest publicly voted game award event, and over 3.5 million public votes have been cast. Let’s see who won what. You might see several surprising names in the categories – be prepared:

We have to mention that the awards are somewhat shifted. The current year has effectively started last November, so November, October titles, such as Death Stranding, are not in the running (they will be there next year). It’s a surprise that Epic Games won the studio award (is Fortnite having such an impact?), and GTA Online’s real money casino update is also somewhat of a shocker. The rest looks alright, although Days Gone’s storytelling award is a bit of a surprise.
Congratulations to all the winners. In case you are interested in watching the ceremony, you can do so by clicking here.
