Geoff Keighley, the host and producer of The Game Awards, is preparing a strong line-up for the event which will happen in less than a week.
„We have a bunch of brand new games being announced at the show — I think there are around 10 new games, projects being revealed if you want to count the things that no one has heard about yet. As always, the Internet has a lot of really bad information out there about what you think is at the show… but it sure is fun to read.
There are no plans ([and there] never were) to do anything with Resident Evil 3 at the show. A lot of these ‘leaks’ are completely wrong. Nothing about our show has leaked as of this writing,” Keighley wrote in the Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session. Later, in a Twitter video, he said that „more than 10 new games are being announced, I think there’s 15 or something.” One of them has been confirmed to be former Arkane Studios directors-led Wolfeye Studios first game.
Keighley got two questions that he answered in one swoop. They are „[are there] any reveals that will surprise the hell out of everyone watching?”, and „[are there] any trailers for games people have been waiting forever for?” Here’s his response: „Dangerous questions! I’m not sure, everyone reacts differently to things. We’re just trying to make the best show we can, based on the content available to us!”
The Game Awards will start on December 12, at 5:30 PM PT, 8:30 PM ET, and on December 13, at 2:30 AM CET. Keighley says it will run for about two and a half hours. You can watch the last major gaming event (the penultimate being the State of Play a couple of days before it, possibly with the Resident Evil 3 Remake announcement) on several sites, including YouTube, Twitch, Mixer, Facebook, and Twitter.
