A long time ago, in a bunnyverse far, far away, where rabbits were still carrying swords, there lived a pixel hero who had a good chance of being the digital ancestor for the protagonist of F.I.S.T. The legend now seems to be reviving!
F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch was unveiled last year, when the bunny sci-fi first poked its head out of one of the workshops of the PlayStation China Hero Project. In the game, we control a wonderful iron-fisted rabbit that cuts through the ranks of insidious mechs that threaten the animal wildlife.
Let’s get the details straight from the PlayStation blog posts:
Rayton, the rabbit, lost his friend when an army called the Machine Legion attacked his world. He had spent six years away from home, meditating on the meaning of life, and now returned home to the city where he lived as a true warrior! It’s time to settle it with the machines, once and for all!
Torch City is a dark place, the once prosperous animal Metropolis is no longer protected by anyone, there are no more hero rabbits. As a true reincarnation of legendary C64 samurai warrior Usagi Yojimbo, Rayton alone faces a total lack of loading screens and a play space that swells enormously because of it. All kinds of loots and collectibles will be waiting for us, and new changeable machine arms that we can develop.
In addition to Rayton’s iron fist, we will have other weapons at our disposal, two to be exact. A whip for longer range and a drill for bigger, even stronger strikes.
All right, enough joking around. Here comes the real trailer:
F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch is currently being developed for the PlayStation 4 console.
