John Paul Pollio has recreated Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s Cal Kestis’ endearing droid, BD-1, in real life.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was the last high-calibre Star Wars video game to hit the market, and its impact has been more than excellent. Respawn Entertainment’s work managed to exceed all the expectations of Electronic Arts and also made a very special place in the hearts of the fans.
John Paul Pollio wanted to pay tribute to the beloved BD-1 by making a life-size replica of the Cal Kestis droid. Although it could be a perfect complement to cosplay the game, its creator has seen his desire to debut with it truncated during the Star Wars Celebration in August due to the pandemic.
“Ever since I was a kid, I always wanted my own Star Wars droid, and the quarantined life gave me a lot of time to prepare this little one for the 2021 season of the Convention,” Pollio said on Instagram. “I was hoping to debut with him at the Star Wars Celebration in August, but it was an impossible dream. But here he is, all painted and illuminated. I still have to add some details like the cables on his legs, but for now, it looks good! I just have to make Cal’s jacket and pants now and I’ll be ready to face the Empire! ”
With Star Wars: Squadrons announced, the Star Wars franchise is gearing up to continue working on the sequel to Fallen Order, as we now know it’s a saga.
