Sperasoft will join forces with the 343 to complete the development of Halo Infinite together. This is not the first time the studio has helped another…
The name of Sperasoft may not sound too much to you. Yes, this year’s Saints Row The Third Remastered was released under their signature, but it is still not a name that has penetrated deep among the players. And yet, over the last 16 years, the talents of its three teams have worked as support studios on such interesting titles as Rainbow Six: Siege, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or, as they just ended up announcing, Halo Infinite.
Denis Larkin, Chief Commercial Officer of the company, states in a press release that “it is an honor to contribute to the world’s most famous FPS series and support the new generation of the Halo franchise … Our development teams are excited about our collaboration with 343 Industries and the anticipated launch of Halo Infinite. ”
If you are wondering on which specific area of the new Master Chief adventure Sperasoft is working, you should know that although there is a comment about it in the official press release, it does not clarify the situation much: “the Sperasoft team contributes to the contents of playing across different development disciplines, working on game and experience components, side by side with our 343 partners”.
Not surprising if we consider that this is exactly what is expected from a support studio. As a reminder, Halo Infinite is not without ambitions: it will launch on various platforms (PC, Xbox One and its alternative models, Xbox Series X) at 4K and 60 FPS on the new Microsoft console, embracing the new open-world format, with a cooperative campaign, multiplayer, map editor, and years of post-launch support.
The game will hit stores at the end of the year, on a date still unknown.
