A company might have revealed Microsoft‘s new console’s unannounced price tag.
This company is none other than Monster Energy. How is an energy drink company related to Microsoft, you ask? Good question. Previously, the energy drink cans offered the Call of Duty players things such as extra XP for the codes and the like. Now, they teamed up with Microsoft for a Halo Infinite campaign. We’re not going into a lot of details as the contest is mostly for the United States, but we will mention the key elements.
So those who win the contest can receive an Xbox Series X and a copy of Halo Infinite. The contest was probably extended due to Master Chief’s new game getting delayed to next year, which will likely have a significant impact on the next-gen Xbox’ launch. Still, the winners will get a new console and a game.
We’re starting to feel suspicious when we read that there will be 200 winners. They added that the approximate retail value of the awards will be 119998 dollars. Divide that by 200, and you’ll get 599.99. So Monster estimates that the Xbox Series X will cost 600 dollars when it will possibly launch on November 6 if we can believe the recent controller leaks. The pricing is likely going to be confirmed in September, as the Halo Infinite delay is reportedly pushed the Microsoft news back in the calendar, too.
No wonder Monster used the term approximate – with it, they legally hide their ass if the Xbox Series X DOES get to cost 600 dollars. It’s still not official, but it might be a good guidance point. Sony could go under that, but they do not have a subscription service as Microsoft’s Game Pass.
