A Whole Hour Of Rainbow Six Parasite Gameplay Has Leaked! [VIDEO]

If only Ubisoft kept the game under… Quarantine, which was the previous subtitle for this Rainbow Six game before the coronavirus global pandemic hit us.

On Facebook, a 60+ minute video was available, showcasing the next Rainbow Six game. This alone brings up the question of whether the streamer, who participated in the technical test, has read the NDA (non-disclosure agreement), as this footage wasn’t supposed to be showcased to the public whatsoever. It’s not available on Facebook anymore, but we have archived the video, which we don’t dare to upload anywhere, as Ubisoft might be deleting it regardless – you can grab a copy here. You can forward the first few minutes, but the rest is still there.

The footage showcased only shows tutorial, but it confirms that the basics are all there from drones through barricades and destructible walls. There are six operators (Alibi, Lion, Vigil, Ela, Finka, and Tachanka). The enemies are called archaeans. (An archaea is a single-cell organism that can survive extreme environments.) These are blue-green aliens with bladed arms and glowing heads if they are alerted. They are possibly the base enemy type here.

Every mission is an intel-gathering expedition. You also get opportunities to get tissue samples by either performing stealth takedowns or planting autotrackers on alien nests. However, if these nests are alerted, they will spawn enemies, as well as a black goo called biofilm that slows movement. Watch our for the destroyed archaeans, as they also spread biofilm. After gathering intel points in a given sub-zone, you can go through an airlock to the next one, similarly to Left 4 Dead. The next zone will always have more intel and more danger, so you can risk either going forward to get even bigger scores or stop and proceed to an extraction point.

The operators who don’t make it to the extraction point (or get left behind when an airlock closes) can still be rescued from an archaean tree, which is a mass of biofilm that webs itself to an area and has to be weakened by shooting its glowing anchor points.
