The deal to expand the South Park universe has revealed plans for a new video game.
South Park is one of the longest-running cartoon franchises in the industry. Over the 24 years, it has been on the air; it has had many products, including video games from the first PlayStation and Nintendo 64 generation to the present day. The series has tried its hand at different genres, from shooters to driving games, with Ubisoft’s latest offerings standing out in particular.
Obsidian Entertainment, the veteran developers of Fallout: New Vegas and currently working on Avowed, rescued the franchise, surprising us all in a very positive way, with an RPG proposal for a first title in the franchise with a script by the series’ creators. South Park: The Stick of Truth and its sequel, South Park: Rearguard in Danger, earned the trust of fans of the franchise and RPG gamers alike.
Looks like the South Park people are working on a new video game. The last two were published by Ubisoft – not clear who's making this one https://t.co/Z1oC1skFtU pic.twitter.com/21SZAqS1BF

We have learned from a Bloomberg magazine article that the creators of South Park have signed a $900 million-plus deal with ViacomCBS to expand the South Park universe. The agreement includes 14 new films for Paramount plus new seasons of the Comedy Central series until at least 2027 when it would reach season 30.
Among the deals for this expansion is the development of a new video game in the series. The only information provided has to do with the fact that it would be set in the world of South Park and that it would be in 3D, completely changing the style we have seen in recent games. We also don’t know if this new project would be in charge of Ubisoft or another company.
