Street Fighter V unveils new fighter Luke and date for Rival Schools content

Akira and the stage from the legendary Rival Schools will arrive this month, but the new addition in Street Fighter V will be a long time coming.

New characters continue to be added to Street Fighter V. For several years now, Capcom‘s fighting game has been constantly adding new content to keep its community happy. This time, and after the Street Fighter V Summer Update 2021 event, we have met Luke, who will join the roster of fighters, being the fifth addition of Season 5.

Luke will be available from November to join the roster of iconic characters. He is a fighter who specialises in quick moves and hard hitting, so opponents will need to be on their toes and brace for impact. Capcom promises to release more details before launch on who will be the 45th character available in SFV.

In addition, the event also revealed that the wandering hermit Oro, Rival Schools biker Akira Kazama, and a new stage will be available in Street Fighter V on August 16, 2021. Of note is the return of Oro after his presence in SF III, as a powerful fighter who is far from simple to master, retaining original moves and adding new ones to the game. Akira Kazama also makes his Street Fighter debut after his presence in the legendary fighting game Rival Schools, from which the “Rival Riverside” stage will also be added, reimagined to suit modern times, although it has several details from its era.

Gold, Akira and Luke can be purchased with the Street Fighter V Season 5 Character Pass or Premium Pass. Gold, Akira and the new stage will be available from 16 August. Luke will arrive in November. If you don’t have the pass to get these additional characters, you can also purchase them for real money or Fight Money, the in-game currency.
