Grand Theft Auto V/GTA Online: The Next-Gen Version Is Delayed! [VIDEO]

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto V, and Grand Theft Online is no longer set to arrive in November.

If we had to explain it quickly, we would say that these two games have also fallen over to 2022, which would expand the list of games that got delayed to next year even more. (One of these games would be Gran Turismo 7, which was previously discussed in the news earlier today.)

Take-Two and Rockstar Games announced on the PlayStation Blog that they dropped the November 11 release date and pushed the games back to March 2022, without an exact day given for Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. As previously announced, the new, standalone version of Grand Theft Auto Online will be available to download for free exclusively on PlayStation 5 for the first three months from launch. We at least got a new video…

Back in mid-May (when we learned about the now-scrapped release day), we wrote the following about the next-gen versions of the two GTA games: “PlayStation Plus subscribers on PlayStation 4 will now get one million GTA dollars per month up until the PlayStation 5 launch. “The new generation versions of Grand Theft Auto V will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades, and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the latest hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever,” a Rockstar representative told GameSpot.

Rockstar also teased something for Grand Theft Auto Online players, so it might get some historical updates, as the company will celebrate Grand Theft Auto III’s 20th anniversary on October 22 (if it’s not GTAO-related, will GTA III get a remaster?). This summer’s Grand Theft Auto Online updates will include special benefits for players to take advantage of in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions upon release. More of the same, but at least the loading times will be nearly eliminated.”

We still haven’t heard about the announcement for the PS2 Grand Theft Auto games, but recent rumours claim that GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas would get a new version…
