Alan Wake Remastered’s machine requirements revealed, and PC extras revealed

Remedy recently held a very detailed Q&A detailing the PC version’s machine requirements and what the different console generations can deliver in terms of graphics. There will also be a first-day patch to improve the game’s playback, among other things, and those who buy the game for last-gen consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will be able to upgrade to the next-gen versions for free. The Xbox versions will also support Smart Delivery.

 

Alan Wake Remastered will support an Ultra-wide screen (21:9), but rendered cutscenes will still be in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The game will also get NVIDIA DLSS support, and FOV Slider and NVIDIA Ambient Occlusion technology will be available. The game does not support ray-tracing.

Minimum machine requirements:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-3340 or equivalent
  • Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or equivalent with AMD 2GB VRAM
  • RAM: 8 GB or more
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit

 

Recommended machine requirements:

  • Intel Core i7-3770 or equivalent
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or equivalent with AMD 4 GB VRAM
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit

Console performance:

PlayStation 4:

  • PlayStation 4 – 1080p / 1080p / 30fps
  • PlayStation 4 Pro (Performance Mode) – 1080p / 1080p / 60fps
  • PlayStation 4 Pro (Quality Mode) – 1296p / 2160p (4K) / 30fps / 4 x MSAA

 

Xbox One:

  • Xbox One – 900p / 900p / 30fps
  • Xbox One X (Performance Mode) – 1080p / 1080p / 60fps
  • Xbox One X (Quality Mode) – 1440p / 2160p (4K) / 30fps / 4 x MSAA

 

PlayStation 5:

  • PlayStation 5 – 1440p / 2160p (4K) / 60fps / 4X MSAA

Xbox Series X/S:

  • Xbox Series X – 1440p / 2160p (4K) / 60fps / 4 X MSAA
  • Xbox Series S – 1080p / 1080p / 60fps

 

Game size per platform:

  • PlayStation 4 – approx. 29 GB
  • PlayStation 5 – approximately 27 GB
  • Xbox platforms – approximately 39 GB
  • PC – approx. 36 GB

 

 

Alan Wake Remastered will be released on 5 October 2021 for PlayStation 4-5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
