PlayStation Plus: Did The October Line-Up Leak?

We’re in a kind of dejavu, because it’s the same scenario around PlayStation Plus as it was a month ago, letter for letter.

We knew what games might be available for free for the PlayStation Plus subscribers in late August, followed by Sony confirming the three titles in question. And now, we see Dealabs, a French site mainly aimed to gather all discounts and giveaways in one place, reveal the games that could become the freebies for October.

If it’s true what Dealabs shared, then we’ll get three games for the money we pay to have unrestricted access to online multiplayer on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 5 might get Hell Let Loose, while the PlayStation 4 could receive Mortal Kombat X (probably the complete edition, as it’s a six-year-old game, with MK11 already being available…) and PGA Tour 2K21.

There’s a little twist, though. If you have a PlayStation 5 and your PlayStation Plus subscription, you automatically get access to the PlayStation Plus Collection, which includes Mortal Kombat X. Sure, the November 2020-launched console is having an issue with providing enough units for the customers. Still, if Sony ends up repeating, it would be a cheapskate solution. The fighting game is already somewhat niche, but PGA Tour 2K21 100% falls into this category because it is a golf game.

The list is not official yet, as it will be officially unveiled on Wednesday at the usual time. Then, we will learn if Dealabs is speaking the truth here once again, or Sony ends up switching games to avoid such leaks in the last moments. Until then, you have a few days until October 5 to get the September games: Overcooked: All You Can Eat! (PlayStation 5), Hitman II (PlayStation 4), and Predator: Hunting Grounds (PlayStation 4).

If the three alleged games do end up being the October titles, it might be one of the weakest line-ups in recent months.
