Halo Infinite multiplayer has been released independently ahead of the full game, which will arrive in December
With less than three weeks to go until the release of Halo Infinite, multiplayer is now available on Xbox consoles and PCs. A free download gives access to the game, which was released as a surprise preview during Xbox’s 20th-anniversary event. However, despite the number of players it is accumulating, it still has some problems to fix.
The most repeated complaints from the community point directly to the way the battle pass works, with the progression being too slow and convoluted. As such, 343 Industries is working to fix it while it receives feedback from players.
The Community Manager of the official Halo account, John Junyszek, has shared on his profile some changes that are being made to improve the system and speed up progression. For starters, single-game challenges will be added to ensure steady progression through simple gameplay.
They are also fixing some bugs that have been found and removing the weekly challenges that have been less convincing. In addition, they will double the duration of the X2 experience multipliers from 30 minutes to one hour and give away this week’s top reward, the Sigil Mark VII visor, to those who log in between 23 and 30 November.
The campaign will have to wait, as Halo Infinite will officially launch on 8 December on PC, Xbox One and Xbox X Series X|S and will be available on day one for those paying for an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Remember that the first gameplay presentation was met with a lot of criticism back in 2020, but the extra year to polish the title has been noticed if we take a look at the graphical benchmark.
