GSC Game World apologises for the delay of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 but sees extra development time as necessary to polish the shooter
The rumour has become official. GSC Game World confirmed a few minutes ago a delay in the release date of S.T.A.L.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl, from April 28th to December 8th if there are no new unforeseen events.
“These seven months of extra development are necessary to accomplish our mission and reach the desired state for the game. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is the biggest project in GSC’s history, and it requires testing to get it ready,” explains the team in charge in a statement shared on official networks. “Development should take as long as it takes, especially in a case like this.”
“The decision was not an easy one, but we are doing everything we can to bring you a game that lives up to your expectations,” adds GSC, apologising to users for the inconvenience caused and guaranteeing more news in the near future. “We have an exciting and important year ahead of us.”
