Everything seems to be getting better at the Epic Games Store. By the end of 2021, the Fortnite creator’s store will have surpassed 194 million PC users, 34 million more accounts than in the same period in 2020. Not content with those numbers, the company is pushing for even more in 2022, announcing that its free weekly games will continue for another year.

“We’re proud to be part of a growing community of developers, publishers, players and creators who have given us an amazing 2021,” reads their statement, which includes various numbers from the platform. So, in addition to the above, the company has reached a daily maximum of 31.1 million players, and the number of concurrent players has hit a record high of 13.2 million – just a few days ago, Steam had its own record for the number of concurrent players.

The company is also reviewing several implementations for users and developers and guarantees that it will continue to work on adding new features in 2022. On the one hand, it will continue to move forward with self-publishing tools to expand the range of releases available on the Marketplace, and on the other, it is working on a multiplatform system to facilitate cross-store play.
