MOVIE NEWS – Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans will face each other in a Netflix high-budget action thriller.
For the first time, we’ll see Hollywood guns Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in the spy thriller The Gray Man in a recently released recording montage by Netflix. Thanks to Netflix, the footage posted on YouTube, while short, shows both Gosling and Evans, along with the excellent supporting actors, and even gives a taste of what we’ll see when the film hits the streaming giant later this year.
Based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 debut novel, The Gray Man was adapted for Netflix by Revenge of the Fallen: Endgame, and the screenplay was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The Gray Man follows Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling, who plays a former freelance assassin from a former CIA agent, Court Gentry, also referred to as the title Gray Man. Gentry will soon be hunted by his former CIA colleague Lloyd Hansen, played by Marvel star Chris Evans.

The tension between the two actors will be by far the biggest attraction for The Gray Man, and this first recording will only give a taste of the glorious “mano a mano” style verbal (and later physical) struggles between the pair. While Gosling shows off his usual protagonist self with some extra facial hair, Chris Evans couldn’t be any different. The American Captain star wears a mustache and a rather weird hairstyle compared to him and apparently enjoys the opportunity to play the arrogant villain in the film.
Along with A-list duo Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, The Gray Man has garnered excellent supporting actors such as Daggered Star Ana de Armas, Bridgerton Regé-Jean Page, Luke Cage Star Alfre Woodard, Iron Fist Jessica Henwick and Hollywood icon Billy Bob Thornton. After several slips of filming, it finally ended in July last year. The Gray Man is the most expensive movie Netflix has ever made on the platform, with a production budget of $ 200 million.

Director Joe Russo recently likened the significance of The Gray Man to Michael Mann’s classic face-to-face thriller. The Russo brothers want to create a dynamic like the one starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro among the extremely talented protagonists.
“It’s awesome, in fact, it’s ‘electric.’ “Two big movie stars are going against each other, true to traditions like De Niro and Pacino Face to Face. It’s an intense action movie. We’ll see a very, very entertaining portrayal from both actors and they’re absolutely tense in the film. And Chris Evans a real sociopath in the role of the main villain. So I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. “
